ADMINISTRATION

The internal Administration of the college is vested in the principal who acts in consultation with the college council.

The College Council shall consist of the Principal and Heads of Departments of each subject of study.
The Principal shall be the ex-officio President of the council. The Council shall appoint one member as the Secretary and the member so appointed shall hold office for one year, but shall be eligible for re-election.
. The General Administration of the college shall vest in the Principal subject to the control of the Director of the Collegiate Education. Some of the General Administrative work may be entrusted to the member of the Council under the general supervision of the Principal, e.g. Library, Athletics, Maintenance of buildings and grounds etc.
The Council is empowered to consider and report on any question concerning accommodation, courses of instruction of ruled of discipline referred to it by the Principal but shall not interfere in any manner with the General Administration of the College Which is vested in the Principal, acting under the orders of the Director of Collegiate Education.
All cases of serious misconduct on the part of students involving loss of their term certificate or their removal or expulsion from the College shall be dealt with by the Principal ordinarily in consultation with the College Council.
Meeting of the Council shall be convened at such times as the Principal. may consider necessary. He shall also convene a meeting when required to do so by the Director of Collegiate Education or on the written requisition of not less than two of the members
It shall be the duty of the Secretary to give notice of the meeting of the Council. to keep a record of the proceedings of such meetings and to forward to the Director of Collegiate Education through the Principal. copy of the proceedings of each meeting.

Clubs

Nature Club

Welcome to our Nature Club! We are excited to announce that this academic year (2022-23), we have officially formed our club, dedicated to fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world around us. Our inaugural activities were launched with the esteemed presence our Principal, Dr. Jayakrishnan, who graciously supported our mission. In celebration of Environment Day, we took a meaningful first step by planting saplings throughout our campus, embodying our commitment to environmental stewardship. We invite you to join us on this inspiring journey as we engage in various activities designed to protect and preserve the beauty of our planet for future generations!

Women Cell

Women Cell of the college is a fully functional body with a well-defined organizational structure as has been stipulated in the guidelines of the KSWDC guidelines. We have 75 women cell volunteers from the college who have been spearheading the various activities associated with the women cell. Though the Covid pandemic had been physically restrictive in terms of the scope of the programmes the college could organize, these limitations could be addressed by making use of the digital platforms available. The fag end of the academic year proved to be a dynamic one with the reopening of the college after the pandemic and the activities of the women cell occupying the central stage in the extra-curricular activities of the college.

Film Club

Film Club has been functioning in the college inculcate a critical attitude among students towards films as socio- cultural artefacts. Thrithala college Film clubs provide a safe space for young people to grow, flourish and gain confidence as well as creating a sense of unity across age ranges, social classes and ethnicities through a shared appreciation of film. Besides developing a sense for aesthetic appreciation of films among students, film club functions with the motive of nurturing new talents in the field by encouraging them to involve in various aspects film making. Film club conducts movie screenings, post-screening discussions and film review competitions in order to ensure active involvement of each member.

ED Club

The Entrepreneurship Development Club started its functioning in the college from 2014, with the mission “To create wealth and employment commensurate with unlimited natural and immense human resource potential of Kerala by developing entrepreneurship in the youth.”. Since then, several activities were undertaken by the Club. The main objective of the entrepreneurship Development Club is to infuse creativity and innovation among the students of our college.

JEEVANI-CENTRE FOR STUDENTS WELL BEING

Jeevani-Centre for Well-being is a new programme implemented by Government of Kerala, in all government colleges. The services offered under Jeevani programme are available for all students enrolled in Thrithala college. The stress encountered by the students may have a negative influence on their physical, social, emotional, and academic states. The help of a psychologist would be very valuable at this stage. Jeevani intends to improve awareness and promotion of mental health among college students along with ensuring early identification of psychological issues among these students.
